Chamber club #1 : Initial thoughts

I joined the chamber club last year as well and I really enjoyed the experience of playing and creating music with my friends. Joining this club also created many opportunities to meet new people as I was a new student last year. This year I will be the more experienced student within the club and there are many new lower grade students. I am keen to do the same thing that people have done for me last year; making the new members have a sense of belonging to the club. I am looking forward to gaining my skills to lead the club with my friends and I am excited to discuss and collaborate with my club members to create better harmony. I am aware that my weakness is to speak up in front of people. I want to be more confident and suggest ideas that will better the club’s music. I am looking forward to gaining skills in areas such as resilience, collaboration, and perseverance through individual practice and rehearsals as a group. In terms of music/techniques, my weakness is rhythm, so I want to make sure to get the right rhythm and be able to match well with the other members. I will attend all the rehearsals that happen twice a week, and I will also make sure to individually practice the parts that I find challenging.
