East Badminton Club #2 middle reflection

I’ve joined this activity with several of my friends, however, from this season, I will be joining alone. I first did not have a positive attitude towards this situation. However, working with new people and moving my body on a Friday afternoon turned out to be very refreshing, especially because we, students are constantly under academic pressure during the weekdays. Working with people outside my grade and meeting new people outside the classroom was worth staying at school late.  I’ve never been a sport type of person and these CAS activity opportunities pushed me to engage in physical activities. Now I feel like I understand the many benefits of moving our body.

I personally found the doubles challenging as we really need to pay attention to each other and tune in to each other, otherwise, we will end up in a situation where neither of us hit back the shuttle or we crash into each other. At the end of the session, we became better at communicating with each other during the game as we discussed how each of us will take a part in the court before the game started.

For the skills as a sport, I’ve realized my new weaknesses, such as backhand and smash. I want to be able to switch to the backhand grip quickly and be able to do successful smashes during the game. I will attend all the 2hours sessions that happen once a week and try my best to improve both my hard skills and my collaboration skills.
